Assistant Product Development Officer

We looking are for a dynamic and experienced Assistant Product Development Officer to be a part of our growing journey.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

        Product Trials & Development

  • Assist in planning and conducting field trials for new seed varieties (cereals, pulses, vegetables, hybrids).
  • Support multi-location testing to evaluate yield, adaptability, and disease resistance.
  • Collect, record, and organise trial data for analysis and reporting.

        Market & Farmer Insights

  • Help gather feedback from farmers, dealers, and distributors on the performance of seeds.
  • Monitor competitor products and provide inputs to the product development team.

         Regulatory & Documentation

  • Prepare and maintain records required for product registration and certification.
  • Ensure compliance with agricultural regulations and company quality standards.

         Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Provide support to R&D, production, and marketing teams during product development and launch.
  • Assist in organising product demonstrations, farmer meetings, and training sessions.

        Monitoring & Reporting

  • Track product performance post-launch and prepare summary reports.
  • Highlight issues or improvement opportunities to senior product development officers.

 

Qualifications:

           Education: Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Plant Breeding, or related field.

   Experience: 0–3 years in seed industry product development, agronomy, or related roles                    (fresh graduates may also apply).

    Skills:

  • Basic knowledge of crop genetics, breeding, and agronomy.
  • Strong organisational and data management skills.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Willingness to travel for field trials and farmer interactions.
