We looking are for a dynamic and experienced Product Development Manager to be a part of our growing journey.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities-  

New Product Development

  • Oversee the end-to-end development of new seed varieties (field crops, vegetables, hybrids).
  • Collaborate with R&D teams to identify promising germplasm and traits.
  • Plan and execute product trials, including field demonstrations and multi-location testing.

Market & Customer Insights

  • Conduct market research to identify farmer needs, competitor offerings, and emerging trends.
  • Translate insights into product specifications and development priorities.

Regulatory & Compliance

  • Ensure all new seed products comply with local and international agricultural regulations.
  • Manage documentation for product registration, certification, and quality standards.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with production teams to ensure scalability and quality of seed multiplication.
  • Partner with marketing and sales to develop product positioning, launch strategies, and promotional materials.

Performance Monitoring

  • Track product performance post-launch, gather farmer feedback, and recommend improvements.
  • Analyze profitability and ROI of new products.

Team Leadership

  • Train and mentor agronomists, product specialists, and field staff.
  • Build strong relationships with distributors, dealers, and farmer networks.

 

Required Qualifications

Education: Master’s degree in Agriculture, Plant Breeding, Agronomy, or related field.

Experience: 5-7 years in seed industry product development, with proven success in launching new varieties.

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of crop genetics, breeding, and agronomy.
  • Excellent project management and leadership skills.
  • Ability to interpret trial data and market trends.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
