Production Engineer

We are looking for a dynamic candidate to support production operations through accurate SAP master data management, production data handling, business requirement analysis, testing, and continuous plant support. The role is responsible for creating and maintaining production-related master data, ensuring process accuracy, and providing end-to-end SAP production support across all plants.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  1. 1. Production Data Management
  • * Collect, compile, and segregate production, seed, and raw material data from all plants.
  • * Verify data accuracy, completeness, and consistency before SAP master creation.
  • * Maintain records of production-related data for audit and operational purposes.
  1. 2. SAP Master Data Creation & Maintenance
  • * Create and maintain SAP master data including:
    • 1. Bill of Materials (BOM)
    • 2. Material Masters
    • 3. Production Masters
    • 4. Seed Data Masters
    • 5. Other production-related records
  • * Ensure all master data is created as per business requirements and company standards.
  • * Update and maintain master data on a timely basis.
  1. 3. Business Requirement Analysis
  • * Coordinate with production teams, plant users, and stakeholders to gather business requirements.
  • * Understand production processes and translate requirements into SAP master configurations.
  • * Validate master data and process setups before implementation.
  1. 4. Testing & Validation
  • * Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with end users.
  • * Perform end-to-end production process testing in SAP.
  • * Validate:
    • Production orders
    • Material movements
    • Returns processes
    • Inventory transactions
    • Production activities
  • * Identify, document, and resolve issues during testing.
  1. 5. Go-Live Support
  • * Support deployment of new masters and process changes in the production environment.
  • * Ensure successful implementation with minimum disruption to plant operations.
  • * Provide user guidance during go-live activities.
  1. 6. Production & Plant Support
  • * Provide ongoing SAP production support to all manufacturing plants.
  • * Resolve master data, production, and transaction-related issues.
  • * Coordinate with SAP consultants and business users for issue resolution.
  • * Monitor production processes and recommend improvements.
  1. 7. Process Improvement
  • * Identify opportunities for process automation and system enhancement.
  • * Improve data accuracy and production efficiency through better SAP utilisation.
  • * Support continuous improvement initiatives across plants.

  • * SAP Production Planning (PP) knowledge.

  • * MS Excel and Data Analysis.

Qualification

  • * B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical, Production, Industrial Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, or a related field.
  • * 3-5 years of experience in Production Operations and SAP Production Support preferred.
