Research Associate – Plant Breeding

We are looking for motivated professionals with an interest in plant breeding, field research, and crop improvement to join our R&D division. The role offers hands-on exposure to breeding programs, trial management, hybridization activities, and field-based research operations.

Job Description

Qualification
M.Sc. (Agri.) in Plant Breeding & Genetics
Freshers with strong practical exposure may apply. Experience in the seed industry or breeding programs will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities
• Conduct breeding trials, crop observations, and field data collection
• Perform selection, tagging, hybridisation, and maintenance of breeding material
• Maintain accurate trial records and support data analysis/reporting
• Coordinate with farm and field teams during seasonal operations
• Support execution of breeding and crop improvement programs
• Work with MS Excel and MS Word for data management and reporting

Desired Profile
• Practical understanding of field trials and crop observations
• Detail-oriented with strong data recording discipline
• Willingness to work in field-oriented research activities
• Basic analytical and reporting skills
• Good coordination and communication abilities
