Seed Packaging Supervisor

Key Requirements:

• Experience: Proven experience in seed packaging or a similar field, with strong expertise in operating and maintaining packaging machinery.
• Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead, train, and manage a team effectively.
• Technical Skills: Comprehensive knowledge of packaging machines, their functions, and maintenance coordination; willingness to learn and adopt new technologies as needed.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve operational issues efficiently.
• Communication: Excellent communication and reporting skills for effective coordination with teams and management.
• Education: Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Management, or a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities:

1. Supervision of Packaging Operations:

• Manage and oversee the packaging of seeds using manual and automatic machines to ensure high-quality output.
• Ensure that daily packaging schedules are met with accuracy and efficiency.
• Inspect packaged products to ensure compliance with company and industry quality standards.

2. Machine Expertise and Maintenance Oversight:

• Possess in-depth knowledge of all seed packaging machines, including their operations, capabilities, and maintenance needs.
• Supervise and guide the maintenance team to ensure preventive maintenance schedules are followed and breakdowns are addressed promptly.

3. Team Leadership:

• Lead and manage the seed packaging team, assigning responsibilities and monitoring individual and team performance.

4. Coordination with Other Departments:

• Collaborate with the Laboratory team to ensure quality specifications are met for packaged seeds.
• Work closely with the Dispatch team and Printing Teams

5. Data Management and Reporting:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of packaging operations, including production volumes, machine performance, and material usage..
• Monitor and report on inventory levels of packaging materials and coordinate reordering as necessary.

6. 6. Compliance and Safety:

• Ensure the packaging process complies with industry regulations, safety protocols, and quality standards.
• Conduct regular safety audits and provide training on equipment handling and emergency procedures.
