Seed Processing Machine Optimization Engineer

About the Role: Optimise our full seed processing line — elevators, pre-cleaner, de-stoner, indent cylinder, seed grader, and gravity separator — for maximum efficiency across varying seed lots.

Key Responsibilities:

• Fine-tune airflow, sieve selection, and deck settings across pre-cleaner, grader, de-stoner, indent cylinder, and gravity separator
• Set correct feed rate per machine based on seed lot (moisture, density, trash load)
• Ensure smooth seed flow and capacity matching across elevators/conveyors to avoid blockages or damage
• Root-cause troubleshooting of efficiency losses — poor separation, seed loss, high rejects
• Re-calibrate the line for each new seed lot/crop to maintain consistent output quality

Requirements:

• Experience with a seed/grain processing equipment manufacturer (application, commissioning, or service) OR hands-on seed plant experience
• Strong working knowledge of machine internals and airflow/sieve/deck mechanics
• Ability to diagnose from first principles, not just checklists
• Agri/Mechanical Engineering background preferred

Nice to Have: Experience with Indosaw, Fowler Westrup, Cimbria, or similar; multi-crop line experience
