Senior Electrician
We are looking for a senior electrician for our seed production/processing plant at Ludas/Arya Nagar, Hisar
Job Description
The Senior Electrician will be responsible for installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems and equipment in the seed production and processing plant to ensure uninterrupted plant operations and safety compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of electrical systems in the plant.
• Maintain and troubleshoot seed processing machines such as cleaners, graders, dryers, conveyors, elevators, and packaging machines.
• Ensure proper functioning of motors, control panels, VFDs, starters, MCC panels, and switchgear.
• Maintain power distribution systems, wiring, lighting, and earthing in the plant.
• Monitor DG sets, transformers, air compressors and electrical utilities.
• Diagnose electrical faults and implement quick corrective actions to minimise downtime.
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and plant safety policies.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities, spare parts usage, and electrical inspections.
• Coordinate with the maintenance team and production department during machine installation or modification.
• Development and upgrading of existing electrical infrastructure as per new standards.
• Planning and installation of new electrical distribution lines, along with panel design and load distribution.
• Supervise junior electricians and technicians.
Required Qualifications:
• ITI / Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• Electrical Supervisor License (preferred)
Experience:
• 5–8 years of experience in electrical maintenance in manufacturing, agro-processing, or seed processing plants.
• Experience in industrial motors, control panels, and plant utilities.
Skills Required:
• Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
• Knowledge of industrial electrical systems and automation basics.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics.
• Understanding of safety standards and preventive maintenance.
Additional Requirements
• Ability to work in shifts when required.
• Good teamwork, communication & written skills.
